Our studio is growing by leaps & bounds!  Help us keep the tradition alive by mentoring the next generation of Irish dancers.  We are continually looking for responsible, caring and enthusiastic people to join our team.

 

We are currently hiring for


IRISH DANCE INSTRUCTOR 

Description: Coach dancers ages 5-16 in a group class format to drill their steps and sets, to sharpen their technique, improve their rhythm, and enhance their presentation skills.

Hours: 12-15 hours per week

Class are held:

  • Tuesdays
  • Thursdays
  • Saturdays

Candidate requirements:

  • Competitive Irish dance experience at a championship level (preferred)
  • Experience working with or mentoring youth (volunteer or paid)
  • Positive attitude
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Excellent communication skills (in person and through email)
  • Values personal growth, exhibits self-respect and has experience with successfully setting and achieving goals

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment for dancers
  • Maintain a safe, engaging and welcoming environment for dancers and their families
  • Ensure that program areas are clean and organized
  • Communicate with parents as necessary

PRESCHOOL DANCE/MOVEMENT INSTRUCTOR

Description: Instructor will help develop a new program and provide basic dance instruction to preschool-aged children (ages 3 &4) preparing them for a beginner level Irish dance class.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working with preschool-aged youth
  • 3 years of performance or dance education experience
  • 1 year of leading preschool classes/activities experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A basic understanding of preschool-aged youth and movement
  • Positive attitude
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Excellent communication skills (in person and through email)
  • Values personal growth, exhibits self-respect and has experience with successfully setting and achieving goals
  • Previous Irish dance experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a safe, engaging and welcoming environment for dancers and their families.
  • Lead movement games and exercises with preschool-aged youth
  • Ensure that program areas are clean and organized.
